Neophyte Training - 2025
For anyone new to the Financial Aid Office, or anyone who works closely with the Financial Aid Office, this is a great comprehensive overview of financial aid. The training will be held Monday, July 14th through Thursday, July 17th, at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD, and will include these topics, as well as two NASFAA Credential sessions!
· Working with intergenerational students and co-workers
· FAFSA 101
· Verification basics
· Professional judgement
· Types of financial aid
· Loans
· Tri-State information/overview of who we are in DE-DC-MD, and what we do as an organization
This training is offered over 4 days and 3 nights and includes networking, team building exercises, and friendly professional competition.
All meals will be provided, and overnight accommodations are in a high-rise residential dorm at Salisbury University (single rooms; shared bathrooms in quad area) for only $600.*
*After June 20th, pricing will go up to $650.
Tri-State membership is required for attendees from DE, DC, or MD colleges and universities. If you are not currently a member of Tri-State from those schools, we will reach out to you to sign up for 2025-2026 and benefit from all that Tri-State has to offer!
Paid registrants may request and receive a full refund of the registration fee (not including membership) up until 2 weeks before the first day of the event. Any refund requests received within two weeks are not guaranteed.
Registrants who do not show up for the training without requesting cancellation two weeks prior to the event will be held liable for payment in full.
