Neophyte Training - 2024
This is a great comprehensive overview of financial aid. The training will be held Monday, July 15th through Thursday, July 18th at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.
The training will provide a complete overview of financial aid for new and/or seasoned financial aid professionals who would like refresher training! Our tentative agenda will include:
- The history of financial aid
- Diversity
- Working with intergenerational students and co-workers
- 2 NASFAA Credential sessions
- FAFSA 101
- Verification basics
- Professional judgement
- Types of financial aid
- Loans
- The care and feeding of your career
- Tri-State information/overview of who we are in DE-DC-MD and what we do as an organization!
This training is offered over 4 days and 3 nights; commuter price is available for those Tri-State members not needing overnight accommodations.
All meals will be provided and overnight accommodations are available in the high rise residential dorm (single rooms; shared bathrooms in quad area).
Early Bird Pricing through June 21, 2024
Commuters (no overnight accommodations, but meals are included): $525
Residents (overnight accommodations included and meals included): $600*
*After June 21st, resident pricing will go up to $650.
